OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to determine the characteristics of the exercise which is applied to the person to lose weight and to give the students the knowledge and skill to use in the knowledge applications related to the exercises recommended for obesity patients.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; Obesity and overweight, body fat distribution, factors causing obesity, health effects of increasing body fat percentage, methods and tests used to determine obesity, obesity treatment, obesity and exercise, prevention of obesity, the duration of the exercise, the severity and frequency of the exercise, and the exercise recommendations for the obese patients.

Define the concepts of obesity and overweight.
Describe the factors that cause obesity.
Describe the importance of exercise in the prevention of obesity.
Identify the characteristics of the exercise that is applied to the person to lose weight.
Use information about exercises recommended for patients with obesity.
