OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To enable students to define the fundamental principles of flight theory, recognize the types of air vehicles, and broadly understand the structural and aerodynamic characteristics of these vehicles.
Contents of the Course Unit: History of air vehicles; theory of flight; characteristics and classification of flying objects; basic concepts; main components of air vehicles; the standard atmosphere; and the fundamental principles of flight.

Explains the history and development of air vehicles.
Explains the classification of flying objects.
Defines at a basic level the main components of aircraft and their functions.
