OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

| Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim is to introduce international and national civil aviation organizations; explain terms and concepts related to ground handling services; present the departments involved in the organization of ground handling companies; describe the equipment and vehicles used in ground handling; explain the transportation and classification of dangerous goods by air; emphasize the importance of ramp/apron safety and security; and provide knowledge about national and international regulations related to ground handling services. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | Security at terminals, ticketing, check-in and boarding procedures; types of RAMP services and RAMP service vehicles; preflight checks performed on the RAMP; pilot-ground communication; and information related to Annex-9 Facilitation. |
