OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim is to equip students with the skills to collect statistical data, use these data effectively, solve problems, and conduct evaluations.
Contents of the Course Unit: It covers the introduction of basic statistical concepts, measures of central tendency, measures of variability, probability and probability calculations, discrete and continuous distributions, binomial and Poisson distributions, as well as methods and applications related to the normal and continuous normal distributions.

Explains the basic data types, measurement levels, and types of statistical analyses used in social science research.
Applies the processes of collecting, organizing, and visualizing quantitative data.
Interprets and applies descriptive and inferential statistical methods (e.g., correlation, regression, hypothesis testing).
Evaluates statistical analysis results within the context of social sciences and presents them in a scientific report format.
