OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To provide theoretical, analytical, and practical knowledge and skills on money, banking, the financial system, and central banking.
Contents of the Course Unit: The course covers the definition, functions, and types of money; money supply and demand; monetary systems; monetary theories; foreign exchange markets; and monetary policies.

Explain the definition, functions, supply, and demand of money within different monetary systems.
Analyze monetary theories and policy tools by comparing classical, Keynesian, monetarist, and contemporary approaches.
Evaluate monetary policy strategies and their impact on inflation, public deficits, and macroeconomic stability in open economies.
