OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with the necessary historical, institutional and structural information to analyze the basic features and current problems of Turkey's economy.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in National Economy, statism, liberal adaptation, import substitution period, outward capital sovereignty period, financialization and hot money sovereignty.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the developments in Turkish Economy of the late Ottoman period to the present day.
Differentiate and analyze the liberal policies and economic developments.
Evaluate general economic problems and specific issues of Turkish Economy.
Classify the economic and political development in Turkey comparatively and make an analyse.
