Öğrencilerin ders içeriğindeki bilgileri kullanımı ile, veri organizasyonu, düşünsel organizasyon ve mekansal organizasyon konularında biliş ve farkındalık sağlayarak, mimari tasarıma başlangıç sürecinde, eğitime başlayana kadar farkında olunan mekan olan konutu tasarlayarak, ilk mimari tasarım öğretilerini edinmek. Mekan, çevre, yer ile ilgili temel tasarım problemlerini keşfetme, anlama ve çözümleme becerilerini geliştirmek dersin amacıdır.
