AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course aims to give the perspective of critical approach to mainstream communication and its applications.
İçerik: The contents of the course include the subjects such as media and public relations in the process of globalization, rhetorical and critical approaches in public relations, Frankfurt School: cultural industry, public opinion and hegemony, cultural industry.

Explain rhetorical and critical approaches in public relations.
Determine the role of media and public relations in the process of globalization.
Give an example about the concept of cultural industry.
Analyse the media-propaganda model of Herman/Chomsky.
