AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: Within the scope of this course, it is aimed that the students learn the basics of aerodynamics at the introductory level, especially in a way to include developments in modern subjects, with examples.
İçerik: Aerostatic, Aerodynamic forces and moments. Basic principles and equations. Potential current approach. Current types. One-dimensional frictionless currents. Aerodynamics of Airfoils. Two-dimensional potential currents. Thin profile theory. Two-dimensional panel methods. Finite wing theory. Three Dimensional Incompressible current.

1 Atmospheric Physics International Standard Atmosphere (ISA), its application to aerodynamics. -
2 Aerodynamic Air flow around an object; Boundary layer, laminar and turbulent flow, free flow flow, relative air flow, upwash and downwash, eddies, flow arrest; Terms: curvature, veter, average aerodynamic veter, profile (interference) drag, induced drag, center of pressure, angle of attack, roughness ratio, smoothness ratio, wing shape and visibility; Thrust, Weight, Aerodynamic Result; Formation of lift and drag; Angle of Attack, Lift coefficient, Drag coefficient, polar slope, stall; Profile deposits such as ice, snow and frost. -
