AMAÇ VE İÇERİK
Amaç:	The objective of this course is to remind the students of the concepts of folk literature and folklore, and to help them make connections between the cults, belief systems, social norms, transition periods and folklore. This course aims to improve the students' perspective of folklore.
İçerik:	Contents of the course include; folk, folklore, belief systems, social norms, transition periods, folk knowledge and folk culture in general.

List important names in the history of folk literature studies in Europe and Turkey.
Express the emergence of the concept of folk, the general characteristics of folklore and folk literature works with his/her own words.
Examine the sources of folk literature and folklore.
Apply the methods of collecting and reviewing folk literature works.
Discuss the research methods to be used in folk knowledge works.
Apply the research methods that should be used in research about folk literature and knowledge.
