AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course is aimed to teach the main principles of soil mechanics, introduce methods of determining the main mechanical and physical parameters of soils, and methods of analysis of soil mechanics problems.
İçerik: The course contains physical and index properties of soils, classification, compaction, hydraulic properties, capillarity, permeability and seepage, stress-strain relationships for soils, stress distribution in soils, consolidation, and shear strength.

To be able to learn the basic soil properties and classifications methods.
To be able to analyze problems associated with the effect of natural and environmental conditions.
To be able to learn methods of testing and evaluating of soil parameters.
To be able to understand soil behavior and solve problems related to strength and deformation.
