AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course is aimed to understand the principles of geology, the geological process of the earth's crust, the main characteristics of minerals, rocks, and geological, and environmental systems, and the role in civil engineering construction.
İçerik: The course contains plate tectonics and earthquakes, elements forming earth, classification of minerals and rocks, engineering features of rocks and discontinuities, water and wind action, sedimentary structure, faults and folds, field investigation, dams and tunnel geology, karstic systems, drainage, and environmental geology.

To be able to learn the types and properties of earth materials.
To be able to identify the nature of surface processes and associated environmental problems.
To be able to understand the formation of geological structure and various changes in the earth`s crust.
To be able to recognize the rule of geology in various civil engineering projects.
