AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: It is aimed to give basic information about force vector, moment, vector algebra, principles of in-plane and three-dimensional equilibrium of particle and rigid body, the stability of ties and structural systems, the calculation of internal forces, truss systems, frames, and cables.
İçerik: This course contains the following topics; introduction to mechanics, main principles, force vectors, equilibrium of particle, rigid bodies, equivalent force systems, the center of gravity, equilibrium of rigid bodies, internal forces, planner truss systems, cables, area moment of inertia and potential energy.

To be able to examine two and three dimensional systems with force and moment effects
To be able to apply the basic concepts and principles of statics and use them in solving problems
To be able to calculate the center of gravity, moment of inertia, components of forces
To be able to calculate support reactions of structural systems
To be able to draw their internal force diagrams, which can analyze structural systems such as cage systems, beams and cables
