OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to apply the first evaluation techniques and the second evaluation techniques and to gain emergency care application competencies in medical emergencies.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of this course; It includes information on emergency care, first aid practices, primary assessment of the injured, secondary assessment, basic life support practices, drug administration methods, drug preparation practices, invasive procedures, sterilization and disinfection practices, and triage.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Performs emergency care and first aid.
Evaluates patients in emergency situations.
Applies primary and secondary evaluation steps.
Applies Basic Life Support practices.
Performs drug administration methods.
Calculate drug dosage.
Makes the right decision in invasive interventions.
Plans sterilization and disinfection techniques appropriately for the area.
In extraordinary situations, it classifies patients at the scene according to their urgency.
