OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the characteristics of the preschool education program implemented in our country and to acquire the skills to prepare, implement, and evaluate an educational plan suitable for the developmental characteristics of children.
Contents of the Course Unit: Content: The course content consists of the following topics: preschool education program, elements of the education program, characteristics of the preschool education program, types of activities, program development, and the process of preparing an activity plan.

Explains fundamental concepts related to program development.
Explains the basic characteristics and principles of preschool education programs.
Explains the structure and basic features of the Ministry of National Education's 2024 Preschool Education Program.
Explains the functions of learning centers (blocks, art, science, mathematics, music, etc.) in educational environments.
Plans early literacy, art, Turkish language, music, science, movement, and drama activities in accordance with developmental areas.
Plans out-of-school learning activities in accordance with the education program.
Prepares monthly plans in accordance with the preschool education program.
Prepares daily plans in accordance with the preschool education program.
Applies the assessment methods used in the preschool education program.
Uses child assessment and evaluation methods in the educational process.
Develops examples of activities that support different developmental areas.
