OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to understand the relations of media, politics and public opinion and to reveal the effects of these relations on each other through the public sphere.
Contents of the Course Unit: The concept of public space is at the center of the democratic stance potential of the media. The public sphere is the meeting point of citizens' attitudes towards each other and the government. The problem of media domination and the tight relations of these dominated media as politics lie at the center of today's debates. Within the scope of this course, public sphere thought will be evaluated in the light of media and political global paradigms.

Explain how political communication is at the center of the democratic potential of the media.
Explain the complex relationships between public relations, advertising, public opinion and media.
