OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to explain the impact of communication in the formation of the mass society and to introduce the differences between traditional methods of communication and new methods of communication.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in stages from primitive societies to the present day, the effect of communication on society and the social changes originated by communication technologies.

Explain the transition of people to social life in the world.
Explain the process and stages of mass society formation.
Explain the development and effect of communication technologies in social life.
Interpret the contribution of new communication technologies to the international community.
Compare the difference between the effect of traditional communication tools and the effects of new media in social terms.
