OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide students with the historical, institutional and structural framework, the basic properties of Türkiye's economy and gain the ability to analyze current problems.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the process and concepts such as National Economy, statism, liberal adaptation, import substitution period, outward capital sovereignty period, financialization and hot money sovereignty.

Explain the historical background of economy in Türkiye from the Ottoman period to the present. (2)
Relate significant changes and developments in Türkiye's economy with the international political and economic points. (4)
Explain the economic, political, historical and social origins of economy in Türkiye. (2)
Analyze the production and distribution channels that shape the economy in Türkiye. (4)
Analyze the economy in Türkiye by dividing it into periods. (4)
Evaluate the economy in Türkiye in terms of current political, economic and political developments. (5)
