OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to enable students to comprehend the production and shooting stages of films, and to give information about the techniques and technologies used in films in order to gain the basic skills in the field.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include basic information about film production and management, and elements constituting the whole of a film such as lighting, decor, sound, budget preparation etc.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

List 5 of the members constituting the film crew.
Defines the duties of film crew.
Explain the shooting techniques of a watched film.
Discuss the correctness of shooting techniques.
Apply story board design of a film at a basic level by observing the camera angles and plans of a selected short-film.
Organize correctly the elements constituting a film (lightning, audio, decor, make-up, etc.) at a film set.
Generalize cinema special effects by discovering the special effects in the example of Avatar film.
