OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to consider building components and to design and solve the problems of these components at all stages of construction.
Contents of the Course Unit: The following topics are introduced in this course; carrier and filling systems, loads on the building, building regulations and standards, floor types and foundation systems, masonry structure, wooden flooring system, reinforced concrete construction, roof and wall types, stairs types, window and door types, thermal properties of materials, finishing works.

To understand and analyze the building system and its subsystems.
