OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To provide the knowledge and skills to explain the historical process of the Turkish sports system and the operational structure of its organizational system, and to carry out preparatory work for the fixture planning and implementation process in competition systems belonging to sports organizations.
Contents of the Course Unit: It covers the fundamental concepts of sports science that contribute to the development of sports culture, lifelong sports, and preparatory work related to fixture planning and implementation processes in sports organizations.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Defines the basic concepts related to the field of sports science.
It describes the historical development of sports.
Summarizes the historical development process of the Turkish sports system.
Explains the operational structure of the Turkish sports organization.
Conducts preparatory work for the process of preparing and implementing fixture schedules in competition systems for sports organizations.
