| Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to explain the relationship between current theories on leadership and the psycho-socio-cultural content that frames the concept, and to apply the fundamental knowledge they have acquired about leadership skills in sports-related applications. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | Course content: definition of leadership, its history, fundamental components, leadership skills, roles, and characteristics, a philosophical examination of leadership behavior, leadership psychology, the evaluation of leadership in sports science and management, classical and modern leadership approaches, sports-oriented interactive approaches to leadership, coaching, mentoring, training, and leadership, the development of leadership, and leadership development through sports. |
