OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed for tourist guide students to become acquainted with the science of archaeology, to learn professional terminology, and to know the development process and present day of Anatolian archaeology.
Contents of the Course Unit: The development of the world and the course of human history, prehistoric times, and the development of archaeology. What is archaeology?: Definition, purpose, and boundaries of archaeology; Relationship of archaeology with other sciences. A review of Anatolian archaeology: Early research, archaeological studies up to the present day. The scope of this article covers the emergence of archaeology, its historical development, and archaeology in Turkey. This article covers archaeological research areas in Anatolia, archaeological discoveries worldwide, and methods for deciphering ancient inscriptions, excavations, and excavation types. Essentials of archaeological research: Evaluation of ancient sources, archaeological, epigraphic, and numismatic documents.

They will learn about the formation of the universe and the world, about hominid species, and about human ancestors. By learning about human development, they will gain insight into the cultural evolution of today's people and begin to understand the development of today's people.
Learns about prehistoric times and the development process of these periods
Learn the scope and methods of archaeology. Learn what archaeology deals with and what it investigates.
Learn the concept and importance of cultural heritage. Understand the importance of Türkiye in terms of human cultural history.
