OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to provide the students with basic technical skills for the volleyball and strategies for tactical applications.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; General information about volleyball, General characteristics of volleyball, Volleyball specific warm-up and basic postures, Basic techniques of volleyball, Volleyball teaching methods for beginners, Player positions and characteristics, Team building, Game system, Tactical methods.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the position descriptions of Volleyball players.
Explain the concepts related with Volleyball team tactics.
Explain the importance and stages of team tactics in offense and defense systems for Volleyball.
Apply the offense and defense systems in Volleyball at basic level.
Apply technical skills and strategies for tactical applications specific for Volleyball at a basic level.
