OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to provide the students with basic technical skills for Artistic Gymnastics and strategies for tactical applications.
Contents of the Course Unit: The contents of the course include; history of gymnastics and rules of contest, definition and technical features of Male and Female artistic gymnastics equipment, movements on ground, pommeled horse, ring, jump table, parallel, bar, asymmetrical parallel and balance instruments, staging and preliminary work and strategies towards technical skills and tactical applications.

Describe the historical development of artistic gymnastics in world and Turkey.
Recognize and use the materials of male and female artistic gymnastics.
Apply the basic techniques of artistic gymnastics.
Apply technical skills and strategies for tactical applications specific for Artistic Gymnastics at a basic level.
