OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to examine the place and importance of play in child development from theoretical and practical perspectives, and to equip students with the knowledge and skills to use play as an effective tool in understanding, supporting, and educating children.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course covers the definition, history, and theories of play; play development; types and areas of play; the impact of play on developmental areas; age-appropriate toys; children with special needs and play; planning play activities; the role of parents and teachers; play therapy; and play applications.
