OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills of news gathering by teaching them news qualities and to prepare news for broadcasting.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include topics such as news writing and news gathering techniques, ethical values, news preparation techniques for news.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Identify responsibilities and rights owned in news broadcasting.
Apply information obtained on the news writing process within scope of broadcasting activities.
Differentiate which of the current events encountered carry the news value by defining the news.
Compose a news text.
Prepare research report for broadcasting.
