OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Within the framework of the basic principles, concepts and theories of development, it is aimed to gain knowledge and skills related to the evaluation of different developmental areas and developmental progress in these areas in early childhood.
Contents of the Course Unit: Developmental periods, lifelong perspective on human development and the nature of development, developmental theories and developmental research, biological foundations of development, prenatal development, birth, development in infancy, development in early childhood, development in middle and late childhood, young adulthood, middle adulthood, advanced adulthood.

Explain the theories related to human development.
Discusses lifelong development, the effects of genes, heredity and environment.
Relates the process from prenatal to birth.
Describes the areas of development in infancy.
Relates the developmental areas in middle and late childhood.
Explains the changes in adolescence.
It describes the transition from adolescence to young adulthood.
