OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to help students gain the skills and knowledge to perform measurement activities of the physical and physiological responses of the team or athlete individually to the fitness training, to analyze the results of the performance measurement and to prepare the training program in the most optimal way for the physical and physiological development of the athlete.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the Course include; information about fitness training and its necessity,properties of fitness training, importance of motor features in fitness training and training methods, planning of fitness training throughout the season, formation of fitness training specific to the sport field.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define basic concepts related with fitness trainings and performance
Explain the appropriate training methods to improve the current condition of the athlete and the team
Apply the training methods that can be used to increase the performance level of the team or athlete
Apply the training methods that can be used to increase the performance level of the team or athlete
Solve physical problems that may arise in sports by using knowledge of fitness and training.
Analyze performance measurement results
Arrange the training program in the most optimal way for the physical and physiological development of the athlete
